Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I work in the construction industry and I sold a job back in December 2010 that is not scheduled to be installed until October 2010 and will not be completed till probably December 2010. I currently work on a salary plus commission basis. I was originally supposed to get paid 40% of the commission when the contract was signed but that has now been pushed back to when we receive the first payment on the job and I am scheduled to get the remaining commission upon completion of the job. I am currently looking for a new job so my question is if I leave my current job am I still entitled to the commission I earned and if so when will it be payable to me.
