Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Georgia
Representation of an attorney
On October 29th 2002, I went to an attorney and filed for a divorce. During that same time period my ex-mother-law also went to him for a temporary custody case regaurding my 3 children. He represented both of us at the same time and I also worked for this man at the time that he was representing us. Under the code of attorneys what can I do about this? Because he was very wrong in what he did and I want to know how do I go about taking this man infront of the state bar so that he does not do this very same thing to somebody else? He is also a Judge in the county that I live in. Can you help me by pointing me in the right direction of who I need to talk with so that I can make this man stop being an attorney for one and then also where he is no longer a Judge. My three children are at stake in this matter, because he represented both of as at the same time, she has taken my kids out of the state of GA, and to OH. I can not see them due to my working. I am paying Child support to this woman and I can not even talk to my kids. I have had to resort to writing them and their age's are 7yrs., 5yrs., and 3yrs., of age now you tell me how are my children supposed to live without seeing their mother? Please help if you can?

Re: Representation of an attorney
Your questions bring up matters too involved to answer here. I suggest that you call the State Bar of Georgia and ask to talk to someone in the Office of the General Counsel. The number to call is (404) 527-8720. Try to do this today.
