Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

My husband forced me to sell my home and move into his. He then refinanced the home before we were married. He had a financially savy friend set it up and creatively got him off the loan and me soully on the loan and not on the deed. We married a year later and have a child together. He does not keep up his financial responsibilities and does not keep up his fair share of the expenses on a house that was originally his. The house is now no where near worth what is owed because he borrowed alot of money against it for his failed buisness attempts. I was blinded and lied to and I need to know if I can force him to take back the financial resposibility for the house even with his horrible credit that I did not know about.

Unless your then boyfriend put a "gun to your head" you voluntarily appeared at real estate closings and signed documents. If the mortgage is signed by you, it is likely that the property is in your name. Without looking at all the papers it is impossible to answer your questions. there are too many variables.
