Is there Illinois state law that states, " a collection agency cannot report a debt collection to the credit bureau until after 6month time period",or something to that effect

There are a few "6-month" rules. For example under recent amendments to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, suspicious credit events that could be identity theft are not supposed to be posted for 6 months. Need more facts.
