Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I received a bill from a rental car company for missed toll. While I admit to unknowingly missing the tolls and am more than willing to pay the fine (8 fines in total, ranging from $.15 - $.50, the rental car company has added an administrative fee of $25.00 per violation. The total they are demanding is $200 in administrative fees for $3.05 in tolls.
How can I legally get the outrageous administrative fees reduced or eliminated?

I would recommend you look at the rental contract that you signed.

There may be terms in the contract that address this situation.

Also, inquire as to whether they are the Rental Co.'s fines or not, The rental co. may have to pay Illinois Late fees.

The first place to start is with the rental contract. Review it for any language regarding this situation.
