Attempt murder

I live in the state of Illinois, Cook County. What is the penalty for attempt murder or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, like a knife?

Attempt murder is a Class X felony, with a definite sentence of anywhere from 6 to 30 years with no chance of probation. You will have to do 85% of the time. Aggravated Assault with a weapon means you did not use the weapon, just threatened to use it. This is a Class A misdomeanor with a sentence of up to 364 days in Cook County Jail. Aggravated battery is when you stab the person with the knife, but did not intend to kill him. That is a Class 3 felony and carries a sentence of 3 to 5 years in prison.
