my dad was caught for dui in 1975 and 1976. paid all fines and had a wv license at the time and was told they could not take his license.but he could not drive in that state . so he came back to wv. and was not notified that he would be able to reinstate his right to drive there.so now he has been 6 months trying to get them back .this is bull. is there not a statue of limitaion on this?? 30 plus years . thats crazy ,plus he had no idea he was suppose to since he did not live there and was never going to ever go there again. sounds like a money racket to me !!!!

Your anger is misdirected. Driving is a privilege, not a right. Your father was convicted of 2 DUIs so his license was justifiably revoked. In 2007, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported nearly 13,000 fatalities related to drinking and driving. I presume your father was lucky enough to not be involved in a fatality
It is your father's privilege to drive so if he wishes for reinstatement, he should retain a qualified attorney.
