consent for a minor to leave the state of il

do both parents (going through a divorce) have to consent when their daughter of 14 years old is going out of state with a friend on a trip?

There's not really a standard answer to that question. If you're in the midst of a divorce case I'd guess that there's a temporary custody and temporary visitation order in place. As long as the trip doesn't conflict with the set visitation schedule I don't see a reason why both parents need to consent to the trip. If going on the trip conflicts with set visitation then I think you need to get some consent regarding a change to visitation. All this being said, there could be a court order that says no out of state visitation...but that's rare.

There is no necessity to inform both the partents, it is sufficient to inform in who's custody u r.
