Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My father passed away on Wednesday afternoon, I missed work on Thursday and Friday for berevement leave. I was denies holiday pay on Monday (Memorial Day) due to not working the last scheduled day befor and after the holiday. Is this legal? Also I did go into work for one hour on Saturday, which was not scheduled.

Unfortunately, this is legal. Sorry to hear about it. Perhaps you can ask for an exception to the company's policy. I would put something in writing to them.
