my ex and i own a bike both names are on the title he wants the bike to sell it i want to keep it and pay his father payments cause he paid off the bike. can he take the bike from me?

Nope. Nor is he allowed to saw that bike in half and give you your half. Seriously, figure out what it is worth. If it is worth more than what is owed, then give him half the difference between what is owed and what it is worth and have him sign over the bike. If it is worth less that what is owed, work something out if the bike is that important to you.
