Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

HOA Late Fee Statement (3)

After a brief talk with the association, I was informed that a board doesn't waive the late fees because of 75K delinquencies on the books. It doesn't matter to them who's fault it was, the payment wasn't received. Homeowner's responsibility. Period. They found a way of generating a revenue to patch their budget on a back of still-paying homeowners.

Again, would they issue a statement, these fees would never accumulate to a such high number.

They indicated that there was about 100 homeowners complaining about the same thing. This would calculate their ''made up'' revenue at up to 50K. Is this legal? Would anybody be interested in representing homeowners in this case. I still have a job and bring a paycheck. I am already bailing out banks and car companies and paying executive bonuses. When is enough enough?
