who pays for damage??

a company installed a refrigerator in my home to a copper water line after they were done they checked for leaks n there were none,,days later owners noticed water in carpet,the company came back out n when they pulled the refrigrator back out they seen that the copperline had been slightly bent in the water closet in the far back which no one could see with refrigater inplace, the comapany says the 2 workers must pay out of pocket of repair n not the company !! who is responsible for the repair cost?? the company says they will make the workers pay out of pocket!!??n that the company doesnt have to be the ones to cover the cost !!!

If the company sent the individuals who damaged your property, it is likely responsible for the damages. Whether they want to get it from their employees is up to them.
