Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

Sexual harassment

I work in a medical clinic with over 500 employees. I was touched, asked if I like sex, and other sexual innuendos were made with witnesses in the room. A doctor that I work nder is the one that did these things. I turned this into my HR dept and they then told the dr I was the one that has an issue. He has since asked me why I turned him in and continues to make sexual comments. My HR dept feels that his actions have ''improved'' even though his actions are not appropriate. Several witnesses have verified my story, and the dr has even followed me home from work. I don't think anything is going to be done about it. (My HR dept feels that coaching and education have ''cured'' the dr, even though comments are still made.) Should I sue?

Re: Sexual harassment

We handle many cases like this - in fact, we currently represent an administrator in a medical clinic who is going through the same thing that you are. The doctor's actions may be actionable if it is severe and pervasive, and would be objectionable to you and a reasonable person. It sounds like you would have a claim. Please provide me with your contact info via e-mail so that we can discuss this in greater detail.
