Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

Worker compensation

I am working at 7-11 store in Illinois. My injury happened at this store. I am still working at this store. The insurance company is doing settlement for my injury. I am feeling that I am not getting enough money for my injury. The injury is in my brain. This injury could happen in the future. I don't know I am too late for an attorney because injury happened two years ago and I did not know anything about worker compensation law.

Re: Worker compensation

It is not too late to file your application for adjustment of claim.

And it is NEVER too late to consult with an attorney in any situation.

If you provide a more detailed diagnosis of your injury and more details about how the accident happened, I will be happy to provide you some free advice.

Re: Worker compensation

If you are doing this without the help from an attorney, chances are very strong that you are being short changed. The insurance adjuster's job is to make sure that you do not get a fair compensation for your injuries. That is the job they have been trained for and you stand no chance against them.

If you did this without an attorney from the getgo- chances are also that you have messed things up and have made it very difficult to fix whatever you have done wrong--people mess their cases up without knowing and by being overly honest to an adjuster who is trained to be dishonest and take advantage of the victim's honesty.

Do yourself a favor and consult with an attorney at once and before you sign anything.

I hope this helps,
