Cheque bounce

Hi,

I lived for 2 yrs on Rent.After vacating the house, the owner gave me a cheque for return of my security deposit (97.5 thousands). The cheque eventually bounced and now she is creating issues in returning my money.Can you please let me know what can be done in this case.How can I recover I money.If I need to file a case against her how soon should I do it.The cheque bounce is 10 days old.I have the photo copy of receipts for the security deposit.

the cheque must be withing its validity and u can file criminal complaint against her. the matter is technical and i would suggest you not to do any stupidity and take the help of lawyer in filing the case. if you are in delhi then u can contact us.

Immediately sent a notice thru the advocate to owner for chq bouncing. What are you waiting for? The limitation period under S138 Ni act is strict.You can contact me personally if possible
