union payouts after divorce

is the ex-wife eligible for the pension of the husband if after 25 years of marriage they divorced and the husband dies

Re: union payouts after divorce

There should have been a provision in the divorce decree regarding a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) that would have provided for you to receiv a part of the pension. Assuming that there was such a provision and a QDRO was prepared, you should be entitled to part of the pension. You should contact your divorce attorney.
