Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana

When I was 4 I was bit by a dog and my mother was the guardian of my estate until I turned 18. All the court fees were paid and everything was settled. But here I am now 24 years old with a family wondering where my settlement money went and cannot find it and mother claims she put it in the bank and the banks say its not there. My paperwork says she couldn't of took out that money without filing a hardship thru the courts which she did not do because I looked up court records. went to lawyer that worked with my mother and I way back when and he said he doesn't know where the money is basically, So what can I do?
