Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I own 2 acres and a home that is landlocked. The driveway was in existence when I purchased the property. The owner of the lad has 3 cattle gates across the driveway and I have to get out open the gates as cattle run at me in all types of weather. Is this legal?

Unless your access rights to the road were spelled out in detail in writing ahead of time, the other landowner probably can maintain the gates and probably needs to in order to prevent the cattle from wandering. Didn't your attorney look into this for you when you purchased the property?
