Adverse possession/quit claim

We have 20 acres that we have been claiming by adverse possession since 1952 and recently hired a lawyer to get the property deeded in my name. I was wanting to know if there is any law regarding cutting the timber before the property is deeded in my name.The property is still in my grt grandfathers name
