Legal Question in Workers Comp in Indiana

Why are Indiana laws pro employer

I fell while fueling my truck at a truckstop, fractured my left hip and had to have it replaced. i had a pre exiting condition (avn) which weakened the bone of the hips. After seeing the companys Doctor, he reported that the fall was the cause of the fracture. When the comp ins. co recieved this info the adjuster informed me that she would no longer discuss this case with me. Three days later I recieved notice that they denied my claim after paying my bennefit for 10 wks.. how can this happen and what is a 15% whole body rating?

Re: Why are Indiana laws pro employer

The answer to your first question "Why are laws pro employee?" comes down to who you elect. When you vote for state representatives and senators and governors, it is imperative that you (all working people) elect representatives who will support laws that benefit the workers. Traditionally, Democrats support the workers and Republicans support the insurance industry.

Now, your situation requires an Indiana attorney. I'm in Illinois. If by any chance, your contract of employment was entered into in the State of Illinois, I can help you. You should not be denied a claim because of a pre existing condition. If I can help you, you may call me at my toll free number at 1-877-CompJoe. Or visit my website at www.compjoe.com. If not, you should seek local counsel.
