Re: Wage Garnishment

Only if they have obtained a judgment against you. Additionally, if this is a personal debt, as opposed to a business debt, they may hve violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). There is a short article on our website regarding FDCPA. Go to www.thomasmoens.com and click "News." The link for the article is on that page. Also, you should google Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or contact us for more information.

How do you mean "threatened?" Do they have a judgment against you?

What do they know about your assets and income?

I need to know more before I can give you direction.
