Legal Question in Workers Comp in Kansas

Retaliation From a Work Comp Settlement

I have a 68% whole body impairment due to an on the job injury. After my work comp. settlement there has been a rash of incidents, I consider harrasment. The lateset was a five day suspension, after being accused of fraudulant fuel charges for my personal vehicle while on company business. I have taped conversation of the only witness stating that they did not say what the employer held against me as evidence. I was not allowed to defend myself, I was not present at the investigation. I have similar documentation leading back to July 1999, when my case was settled. I have worked in other areas, for the same company, and have not experienced any harrasment, except for the area and city I now work in. I feel this is intentional infliction of emotional distress in the form of retaliation for the filing of a workmans compensation case! Please contact me as I have several other pieces of documentation that will show a difference in treatment from one city to the next.

This answer does not create an attorney-client relationship nor is it legal advice. I do not handle the type of claim you describe. If you had a lawyer in your work comp claim, contact them. If not, try the Lawyer Referal service of the Kansas Bar Association.
