Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Full custody - moving out of state

I have full custody of my 8 yr old daughter, her father has visitation. Our original order was in clark county Indiana (her dad lived in jefferson county kentucky). 2 1/2 yrs ago i moved to kenton county KY and the order was moved to kenton county at that time. Currently his mother exercises his visitation, I drive her all the way (an hour and a half) to them, by my choice. I am getting married in july of this yr and we want to move to Macomb, MI (my sister and her family live there). My fiance has an office there and I will be able to start a business with my sister which will allow me to take my child to school, pick her up from school and be involved in her classroom, in addition her 3 cousins will be going to the same school and of course my sister. (at this time i am working usually 7am to 5:30 pm), I take my daughter to before school care and after school she goes to after school care. i feel like my daughter would benefit greatly from this. In clark county i had to file an intent to move, do i need to do this in kenton county? i have been unable to find any forms for kenton county online, also since this is a farther move do you think i will have a problem?

Re: Full custody - moving out of state

You should apply for the same court permission, etc. You are fortunate that Kenton County and Newport have several good attorneys that specialize in Domestic Relations.
