Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Background Check
I am on 3 yrs. probation for misdemeanor conviction(I pleaded guilty to illegal posession of controlled substance, my prescriptions)Having trouble getting a job, have disabled daughter, does my legal woes show up on a regular employment background check if not a felony?

Were you convicted in Louisiana? If so, your conviction is probably a felony. Louisiana only has one misdemeanor drug offense I can think of and that First Offense Marijuana possession.
