Felony to Misdemeanor
In 1999, I was charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile for something that happened in 1997 when i was 17. This was my first offense and pled no contest and was sentenced to one year probation and did not have to register as a sex offfender. Now, 11 years later, i would like to have this reduced to a misdemeanor so that I do not have to register on the sex offender registry. What are my chances of getting this reduced. This was my first offense and have had no others for the past 11 years. I have gotten my g.e.d. and have been holding a job for all those years. I have been married for three years and just purchased a new home. What are my chances of getting this reduced. I am no harm to society. Any help would be appreciated.

I still do not understand how you could be made to register now. That would be an ex post facto law.
