Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Child Visitation during deployment

I am being deployed to Iraq in May. I have a daughter with my exwife. They live in Louisiana. I have a wife and daughter in MIssissippi. I want my daughter to still be able to make her visitations to spend time with her sister and grandparents. Can her mother keep her from her normal visitations while I am deployed?

Re: Child Visitation during deployment

Was your divorce granted in LA or MS? Whatever court has continuing jurisdiction would be the place to request that kind of relief. In Mississippi, your parents could ask for visitation in your absence. It may not be as frequent, but it would be better than nothing. You can read more about grandparent rights on my website.
