Our car was parked in our driveway and our neighbors lawn maintenance worker hit it and did a significant amount of damage to it. Is he responsible to pay for the damages?

Yes, he should have liability insurance. You may be forced to sue.

You can sue him (and his insurer, if he has insurance) in your local small claims court. Find the Justice of the Peace court in your area and file a claim. You don't need an attorney and the process is very simple. In most cases, you can just go down to the court and fill out a claim on a form provided by the court. You will have to pay court costs (usually around $150 or less for small claims), but the defendant will have to reimburse those court costs to you if you win. You will also need to have an address to serve him with the claim.
