Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

Rear Ended Twice in few weeks

I was rear ended by a pickup truck pulling a trailer while sitting in traffic. The other driver was at fault and issued a ticket. The damage to my vehicle was less than $1,000 and all was repaired within a week by his insurance company. I've been seeing a Chiropractor 3 times a week for injuries to my neck and lower back. My auto insurance is paying all bills and will get reimbursed by his insurance co.

16 days later, I was rear ended again by pickup truck. The damages appear to be almost identical. This drunk driver did not stay to report the accident and basically Hit&Run after I contacted 911. The police tried to locate the out of state license with no success thus far. I am now experiencing pain not associated with the first accident.

What are my options at this time? I have uninsured motorist on my vehicle and full coverages 50K/100K/50K. How does this effect my first case should I decide to sue for injuries? Must the Chiropractor document this somehow? What are my options with pain, suffering, and med bills with the 2nd accident if the guy is not found?

These are all issues best discussed with an attorney in a private office consultation. Since this is a public forum, either insurance company would be able to use this information against you in the event they find out who you are.

Simply put, you need a lawyer. I would now be giving you the exact opposite advice if your case involved the first accident only. The way you presented the "goings-on" it sounded like you had everything under control and you were doing all the right things. However, with the advent of the second accident your case has become alot more complicated. You need help--right now--do not delay--it will cost you in the end--I promise you.
