operating under the influence

I 20 years old and was arrested 4/29/09 for operating under the influence. My court date is set for 7/22/09. I am a college student and my license has been suspended.

I do not have money, should I contact Pine Tree Legal?

Re: operating under the influence

You need to call the court (where you are required to appear) and tell them that you want to speak with a financial screening officer so that you can get a court-appointed attorney. Then you will have to complete a financial affidavit and get approved by this person, after which the judge will appoint an attorney to represent you without charge, assuming that you qualify. It sounds like you should qualify. Pine Tree Legal does not assist with criminal matters. I handle OUI defense and I represent people who are injured in accidents, etc. Good luck to you! Thank you for your inquiry.
