Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Will I keep my son

me and my wife just got seperated

cause I have commented adultrey.

She wants to have sole custody of

my son but I have been watching

my son during the day since he was

born he is 3 now. we don't pay for

child care at all because I watch him.

So now she wants to take my son

away from me and put him in day

care and then have me to pay for it.

So do you think I would to able to

get joint custody and still be able to

watch my child during the day?

Re: Will I keep my son

That's certainly a possibility. The court determines child custody using the best interest of the child standard. Many factors are included in the decision, including what the arrangements have been recently and whether the child is doing well. While the adultery does not work in your favor, your wife will have to prove that it occurred and how it has negatively impacted the child.
