Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

My husband's siblings formed an opinion that I caused my husband to be unhappy and one of the siblings told a family friend about me and this family friend asked me if my husband is really unhappy which surprised me. I confronted one of the siblings and she said that she has the right to form an opinion out of concern for their brother. My husband was surprised and said he was fine. Our marriage is fine. I'm upset that they assumed wrong about me. Is this considered a slander? If so, can I sue them? Please advise. Thanks.

Slander requires a false statement of fact. (There are additional requirements, but they don't matter for purposes of this answer.) Statements of opinion do not qualify.
