Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Massachusetts

my daughters house was sold at auction the same morning after it was sold she filed for bankruptcy

she has not heard anything in reference to vacating the property, as of yet, at least that is what she is telling me. They have had the house for 5 years which of thr past 3 years they have not paid any mortgage. The court date for the bankruptcy is 9/23 will this save their home and why have they not been vacated yet. Did the filing of bankruptcy give them a stay and will they be able to keep the house even though it was sold at auction. Thank u for answering
