Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

we are being takeing to court over a credit card we admit we owe them but not the amount. We are to go in frount of a judge because we just canot come to an agrement on this i have asked the credit card company to please send me the orignal contract that was sign they have not sent it what they did send was to older bill with a late notice attached .What i need to know is what do i have to bring with us we live on a fixed income do i bring the proff with us also the house hold expence any advice you can give will be so helpfull thank you Mrs.Mello
