If you believe and you have a reasonable basis that the employer's action was based on gender discrimination, and it occurred with in the last 6 months, you should consider filign with the Mass Commission against discrimination.

Re: womanman

It would be discriminatory to treat men and women differently. But, the question is what are your damages. If all you want is the extra money you were forced to pay for the use of the car, the damages are too small for a lawyer to get involved. You can go to the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and they will pursue the claim for you. If you had to take less pay at the new job, again, it depends on the amount. If small have the MCAD handle it.
