Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

My daughter is a 20 year old somtimes college student who lives at home with me (her father) I just found out that she has been driving her car with no insurance because she let the policy lapse (she says that she could no longer afford the premium) and her insurance co. turned her name into the registry dept. so now her registration is no longer valid (I had it checked and it is no longer valid). My question is :If she should get pulled over by the police, or (GOD forbid) into an accident will I be held liable because she resides in my household, and could I lose my home due to a law suit?

Probably not, but there are no guarantees and the question is can you afford to be involved in litigation to extricate yourself from being sued. In other words, you might defeat the claim against you, but you would pay and attorney to exonerate yourself. Good luck.
