Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

I paid 550 to a fellow to power wash and paint 1/4 of my house. He did the powerwash but then skipped out. There was no written contract.Any chance of getting my money.

I have major surgery coming up and could use the money to pay an attorney to draw up a will.

There is a chance, but it depends on a lot of things. If he is not willing to return your money voluntarily, then taking him to small claims court is probably your next best option. Good luck.
