Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Housing eviction

This is for my brother. He owns a home, his live in girlfriend of 2 years filed a restraining order in Jan 07, it is still in effect and going to trial. She is still living in his home. My question, is there a way, legally without incurring high legal fee's that he can get his ex-girlfriend to move out of his property. He has been sleeping on my basement floor since Jan. 07 paying what bills he can. Basically she is sitting in the home causing him to forclose. She says she will move only if he pays her $10,000 which he does not have.

Re: Housing eviction

Your brother needs an attorney. THere is no way to avoid the legal fees. I have dealt with similar situations, and would be happy to consult further.
