Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

My Father passed away and had one of his friends as the Executor. Before he passed my father said he had about 50,000 in the bank. The executor had said about the same and he was just going to write us checks out of the account to disperse to me and my two siblings. After he passed away the executor said there wasn't much in the account and upon 3 occasions gave me three different amounts of 2,000 to 7,000. I have asked him to get the previous 2 years of bank records ,but always says he can't or they wont let him. I have pretty much ruled out there is any money left and I am feeling like I was had by the executor. I have tried to find out from the banks but I can't get any where as I am not listed on the death certificate from Florida and I am not the executor. I am in Massachusetts so it is hard.

I assume your father died in FL. You need to seek an answer from a FL attorney. I would write a letter to the probate court and as his child and I assume you were named in the Will ask the Probate Court to see the Inventory and account for the estate.
