Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Back in March of 2009, my wife's friends took over a loan payment on a vehicle of mine, which the title is still in my name. Do I have rights to take the car back whenever I want?

When I get a question like this from a client, I first ask "how many people will you piss off if you turn your thoughts into action?" If the answer is what I think it is, insisting on your rights will start you on a course which will be lengthy, unrewarding, and expensive.
