Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Bully and son

This school year my son has been bullied by one student in particular. The teacher and principal and principals manager have not taken and REAL action. Every action involves punishing my son in the process. I have 7 monthsof written documentation of the issues. On 4/3 my son was walking home. Bully's father saw my son and sent his son to go meet my son off school property. The bully came with his little brother andsaid he wanted to ''KILL'' my son. There were witnesses. My son ran back to school .. terrified. School had both boys miss recess for 3 weeks and meet a social worker. My sonhascome home beaten and bruised by this kid. Still nothing done. COps wont take a police report. School board does nothing. BUlly's mom is PTA secretary! I feel this is why this bully continues to get away with his abuse towards my kid. The bully has also bruised other kids in the school as well. All documented yet no one will do anything! I want to know how we as parents can raise good kids when the school they attend is not consistent with how it operates. I need help.

Re: Bully and son

That sounds horrible, but I don't understand how the police won't take a report of that kind of assault and battery. I would work this angle first to find out why. Go to a supervisor. Secondly, you can always get your son a Personal Protection Order against this other kid, then if he comes within so many feet, the kid in in contempt of the order and a Circuit Court Judge can throw him in jail (or juve) Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further. Re: Bully and son

How old is you son? And how old is the bully? Do you have the names of the other children who have been beaten by this kid? Have you talked to their parents?

You can sue the bully's parents for this conduct. Damages are limited, but it should get the bully's parents' attention. Please call for more information.
