Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

shoplifting charges

I am 17 years old and got caught shoplifting for the first time yesterday. I am a straight A student and I was wondering what is the worst that will happen to me...Thanks....

Re: shoplifting charges

Well, you won't go to jail no matter what happens, but you can avoid having a record, and lower your fines and costs.

Do not plead guilty or respond to the letter you'll be getting from the store until you talk to a lawyer.
