Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Modular home repo and civil lawsuit - I think they screwed up

Owned modular home 9.5 yrs. - bought new. Moved 6 yrs ago out of modular home and bought house. Tried to sell all this time, current on payments & lot rent, upkeep, etc. Financing Co. only would accept full payoff & no refi. Can't afford anymore - have drained every resource and fell behind last Nov. They took possession early Feb, with no notification to me. They filed lawsuit for $41,000+ (almost what I borrowed to begin with) mid Feb. Answered (pro per) omplaint .Received letter from their lawyer wanting me to agree to dismissal w/o prejudice. Same day received notice from financing co.. of repossession and intent to sell, balance owed, etc. - they alreay have posession for a month. What are they trying to pull?

I can't tell you what they are up to, but I strongly recommend that you schedule a consultation with an attorney to get down to the bottom of this issue. If you do not know what the legal issues are, it is highly unlikely that you will be a successful "pro per" defendant.
