Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I need to pay back money that deposited in my bank account.the money was was stopped.I received a NSF slip. I had started paying the money back.My soon to be exhusband was helping me pay it back.He had since left me and filed for a divorce.

I received a subpeona to appear in court on the same day I have two phone appointments.

Is there any way I can come up with an agreement and avoid being in court? They want me to bring stuff with me that I don't even have.I can't work right now because of my back.So how can I pay this back?

Payment is a completely different issue than whether you are civilly or criminally liable. A judgment merely is a legal document that says you owe the money. From there, a creditor can garnish or take other legal actions. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
