Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

dui convictions

i was wondering if dui convictions follow you from state to state. for example, i live in michigan and if i got a dui in indiana would it go on my michigan driving record? and if i had a previous conviction 8 years ago in michigan would it now affect the outcome of the indiana conviction?

Re: dui convictions

Hello, I have received a copy of your question regarding DUI convictions from another state. The answer depends on the specific language of the statute of that state. However, Michigan and most states will consider a prior conviction in a different state as a convivtion in their own state. Feel free to call me if you have further questions or visit my web site.
