Marital Property Rights

Do I have the right to recover (pick up with my key) a vehicle that is martial property? I want to help a friend move and am my soon to be ex-spouse hasn't made the truck available for me to use. Can I just go pick it up with my set of keys and use it?

It may be marital property, but if your name is not on the title your ex could report it stolen. Only drive it if you are on title with him. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
