Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Do I have to pay child support if we have joint custody? At this time the mother has full physical custody but I have the child half the time and am paying almost $600 in child support. I am thinking of fighting for joint custody. After getting married I now have 2 step children and 1 on the way and my wife doesn't work due to medical conditions. Does this affect my child support?

Child support is a formula that compares day care costs, incomes, health insurance expenses and overnights (as the basics). You could have 50-50 custody and pay support for this reason. Consulting with an attorney will assist you in making decisions on whether to seek modifications. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
