eviction question

i was on a lease with my ex girlfriend and i ended up moving out of the place and the apartment complex wouldnt take my name off the lease for some reason..she made enough money to cover herself by herself but there was some situation, but after about 6months of not living at the place my ex girlfriend stoped paying rent and eventually got an eviction notice with me still on the lease she had 10 days to come up with a payment and still wasnt payed for. so i =m asking if there is a way to me to get leagal help of the matter so i dont get stuck with an eviction on my name and all the money owed to my credit. so is there a way i can take my ex to court to get if off my credit because of her non payment and for me to be off the lease?

Re: eviction question

you can see why the apartment complex wouldn't let you off the lease. You signed the contract and then left. You are certainly responsible for 1/2 of the entire lease, and if they collect it from you in total, you would have a case against your ex-girlfriend for her 1/2. Visit www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
