Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan

Conducting Marriages
I just received a certificate ordaining me as a Reverend with the Unity Church located in California. It says that I can now conduct legal marriages. Is this true of my state? Are there any requirements or registering that I must do first? [I do not have a church yet.]
