Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Michigan

what am I entitled to with medical records?

I am pregnant and recently had what was suppose to be a special ultrasound to look for birth defects. After an hour of failed attempts to get the measurements they wanted, I was charged for a routine ultrasound and sent on my way with no answers. They told me I'd have to have a variety of other blood tests done and later found out that I had been mislead with information and testing. I have decided to no longer pursue this testing and was wondering... can I have all the ultrasound pictures they took during that hour seeing how I don't want to be a patient of theirs anymore? They have probably 15 shots and seeing as how I had to pay for the appointment, can I request to get them all along with my records?Hope this makes sense. Just wondering what to do?

You're entitled to your records and xrays, etc. The medical provider can charge a reasonable fee. William S.
