Driving while license is suspended

I got tickets for driving while license is suspended and expired registration and no proof of insurance. What is likely to be the penalty?

Re: Driving while license is suspended

It depends. Why was your license suspended? If it was because you failed to pay a previous traffic ticket, the penalty will likely be a small fine if you provide proof that you have paid the ticket. The charge itself can be reduced.

If it was suspended for any other reason you have to consider both fines, costs, incarceration, and further suspension or revocation of your driving privileges. If all of the charges are your first offense, your punishment will likely be a fine. You should register your vehicle and get it insured before your court appearance. It all depends on the reason for the suspension and you prior driving record. You can clear up your driving record and get insurance/registration before you go to court. Another factor is the court and Judge. The DWLS is a 93 day misdemeanor, so jail time is posssible but not very probable. Please give me a call and we can discuss your matter and possible defenses.
